The early bird... Well, what if there is no early worm to catch? It is so funny! Figuring out how late to leave for work is no easy task and is still unaccomplished. I can tell you one thing, though. "Blikskut" (begging money for charity using tin cans) is very much legal here in contrast to the situasion in Stellenbosch. I am the adult, working person now, who just smile and wave at the silly-dressed students. In my defence, I only get paid my little clerk's salary on the 28th.
Today I realised the true geniusness of the invention of repositionable notes and paper clips. Now my life and files are back in order and I am feeling a bit more in control. I just hope that my supplies last!
It seems that a residential address is essential for almost ANYTHING you want to get done and guess what, I don't have one. YET. Hopefully I will fill in all the blank spots in contracts, SARS-registration and learning agreement.
The day ended with a thunder storm (well, in my Cape Townian opinion) and consequent power failure. Luckily (as every true and dedicated employee would say) our computers could still run on the generator. The darness was overcome by our positivity and will to accomplish.
Yes, today was an improvement on yesterday. Bring it on! (Please keep praying for the clerk and all the adjustments.)
